Legacy
Founded by Chaudhary Raghvendra Singh in 1946, DLF pioneered planned residential development in Delhi (Rajouri Garden, Krishna Nagar, Kailash Colony) before moving to Gurgaon in the mid-1980s. Under KP Singh's leadership, DLF acquired the land bank that became Gurgaon's DLF Cyber City and Phase I–V — India's largest privately-planned urban district.
DLF's story is Gurgaon's story. In 1985, when the company began acquiring farmland along what is now MG Road, Gurgaon was a district town. Forty years later, DLF Phase-V is the highest-priced residential district in NCR.
